Tickets Issued Database

Pursuant to the Criminal Code Act (Public Law No. 221-13) , the Speaker and Sergeant-at-Arms are responsible for enforcement of House Code. Any violations are submitted by them and reported to the Clerk's database.
Public Law No. 232-01 amended the Criminal Code Act to provide for civil, criminal, and administrative complaints. As such, tickets are now issued in accordance with HCC ยง 2-2-8 when a Member violates a statue(s), common law, or a Rule(s) of the House. If a Member pays a their ticket prior to a ruling, they waive their right to a hearing and presume themselves to be guilty. This database does not include monatary rewards from a complaint awarded by the Inspector General.
